Process
Following a meeting to identify the specific needs and goals of an individual student, Heather will present basic information and propose a formal contract to govern a future relationship. If both parties decide to proceed, students will bring to a subsequent meeting a completed questionnaire as well as their most recent academic transcript and standardized test scores. Heather will then work closely with both student and family to guide them through the admission process.
Serving Families Globally
Distance isn’t a barrier when it comes to helping your child find the ideal school. In addition to serving families from all across the United States, Heather regularly works with international students, including boarding school and college hopefuls from China, Japan, Germany, Mexico, and Ecuador.
Multiple Options to Fit Your Needs
In an effort to meet a variety of needs a student and family might have, Heather makes several consulting packages available. After an initial meeting, a family will decide on which package is appropriate for them. Regardless of which package is chosen, the individual needs of the student are considered so that the most personalized service can be offered. The process is a collaboration between Heather, the student, and the family. Although every effort will be made to best position a student, Heather cannot guarantee admission to a particular college or boarding school.

Comprehensive Program
Includes up to 20 hours of professional time and offers:
- An in-depth meeting to explain the process, the expectations of the relationship between Heather and the student and to clarify the goals and needs of the student
- Review of academic transcripts and standardized test scores, as well as course selection, athletic and extra-curricular interests and community involvement in an effort to assess and get to know the student
- Recommendations for future course selection, testing and summer enrichment programs
- Research and presentation of a list of potential colleges and universities, specifically tailored to the student
- Guidance on making campus visits and interviewing at schools
- Review of essay topics to be considered, as well as editing of college essays. (Heather will not write a student's essay.)
- Review of completed applications
- Review decision letters, as well as guidance in the decision-making process
The List
This program offers three one-hour meetings (not including consultant's outside preparation work) during which Heather will present and discuss a list of potential colleges and universities specifically tailored to the student. Following a review of the student’s academic transcript, standardized test scores, extra-curricular interests and community involvement, Heather and the student will hone in on preferred institutions from a comprehensive list. Students can begin working with Heather in their junior or early senior years. Families who decide to upgrade to the Comprehensive Program can apply the amount paid for this program.
